Mike Worrall – Rupture and Repair in Empathic Attunement

Thursday 19th April 2018 @ 7:45 pm - 9:15 pm

Mike Worrall currently lives and works in London, where he offers person-centred therapy, supervision and training. Having read English at Oxford, Mike worked in Abingdon and Oxford for Oxfordshire Probation Service, before training as a person-centred psychotherapist at The Metanoia Institute in London.

He taught for many years to MA and MSc level at Temenos in Sheffield and at The Metanoia Institute, and has facilitated certificate and diploma trainings in person-centred supervision for fifteen years. He is particularly interested in the process of empathy, and in what we can learn from our inevitably flawed attempts to understand one another.

He has written extensively on person-centred practice including, with others, The Person-Centred Approach: A Contemporary Introduction, ( 2004), Palgrave, and, with Keith Tudor, The Person-Centred Approach: A Clinical Philosophy, (2005), Routledge,. He has also edited with Keith Tudor two volumes of papers on person-centred approaches to supervision: Freedom To Practice I and II, (2003 and 2007), PCCS Books.
