Members may recall our Café Society evening, held last autumn. It was a popular experiment in meeting as fellow professionals in an informal setting, breaking free from the transferences that can sometimes silence us at clinical gatherings.

In the same spirit we now propose an OPS book group with a difference. We will meet twice a term and focus on creative literature of relevance to our concerns. Our texts will be accessible and short enough not to be a chore. Choosing them will evolve with the life of the group.

In the present circumstances we will meet on Zoom and numbers per group are limited to eight. We hope to form sufficient groups to meet demand. They will be of the ‘slow open’ type, balancing regularity with access.

Our first meeting, of 90 minutes duration, is on Wednesday 28^th October at 7.30 pm.
